Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Perform revenue accounting
1. Process customer credit
1) Establish credit policies
2) Analyze/Approve new account applications
3) Analyze credit scoring history
4) Forecast credit scoring requirement
5) Review existing accounts
6) Produce credit/collection reports
7) Reinstate or suspend accounts based on credit policies o Invoice customer
8) Maintain customer/product master files
9) Generate customer billing data
10) Transmit billing data to customers
11) Post receivable entries
12) Resolve customer billing inquiries
13) Process accounts receivable (AR)
14) Establish AR policies
15) Receive/Deposit customer payments
16) Apply cash remittances
17) Post AR activity to the general ledger
18) Prepare AR reports
2. Manage and process collections
1) Analyze delinquent account balances
2) Correspond/Negotiate with delinquent accounts
3) Discuss account resolution with internal parties
4) Process adjustments/write off balances
5) Perform recovery workout
6) Manage default accounts
3. Manage and process adjustments/deductions
1) Correspond/Negotiate with customer
2) Discuss resolution with internal parties
3) Prepare ge back invoices
Required Experience
ESSENTIAL:
1. 1 - 2 year’s collections or accounts payable experience/customer care/experience in an international environment
2. Strong interpersonal /business skills both oral and written with very good telephone skills
3. Ability to work on own initiative in a Team environment
4. Good organizational & time management skills
5. Strong negotiation skills
6. Analytical approach / good problem solving skills
7. Excellent reporting skills
8. Competent in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills (vlookup, pivot table etc.)
9. Excellent stakeholder management
10. Fluency in English and any other foreign language will be an added advantage
