Job Deion:Technical Sales Manager - ChinaCompany Introduction:Silverstream Technologies has successfully developed and deployed a market-leading clean marine technology solution over the last ten years – The Silverstream&ampamp#174; System. Our Air Lubrication System (ALS) fundamentally changes the interaction between water and a vessel’s hull, creating a carpet of microbubbles that coats the flat bottom of a vessel. As a result, frictional resistance is reduced – dramatically improving a vessel’s fuel consumption and associated emissions.Air Lubrication is a strategic efficiency technology enabling significant savings, improved vessel performance and significant reduction of harmful emissions. The technology is suited to large full-bodied vessels and can be installed as a retrofit or during new buildings with an addressable market of 12,000 existing vessels and new tonnage.After a series of successful deployments, the company is experiencing a significant increase in activity as more ship owners/terers adopt the system on their vessels. With both retrofit and newbuild projects on order we are expanding our team and recruiting high calibre people to join our dynamic team on our exciting journey of rapid growth.Silverstream Technologies is pleased to have innovative sector leaders as key customers including Shell, Carnival, Grimaldi, Maersk, Meyer Werft, HHI, and Vale.Role Summary:The Technical Sales Manager will represent the Company promoting Silverstream Technologies products and services to potential Customers, Shipyards and Design Institutions. They will take ownership of the sales process for Silverstream&ampamp#174; System solutions for allocated customers, sales channels, and market segments. They will be responsible for generating leads within the Asia Region and the sales process for allocated opportunities, including the review and qualification, bid strategy setting, review of customer enquiry documentation, performing business case evaluations, and customer negotiations. The position will be responsible for the day-to-day relationship with our sales channel partners within the Asia Region.Key Responsibilities:· Monitor Asian shipowner and shipyard activity and key trends.· Promote the Silverstream&ampamp#174; System to Chinese shipowners, shipyards, and design institutions to support lead generation and develop marketing opportunities.· Schedule and co-ordinate customer sales presentations and customer sales visits.· Perform the qualification of leads and opportunities.· Review of customer enquiry documentation and defining opportunity bid strategies.· Co-ordinate the preparation of technical and commercial proposals with the Bid Management team to ensure that we develop accurate and timely technical and commercial proposals ensuring that we meet customer specifications and requirements.· Undertake customer business case evaluations.· Prepare and participate in customer bid negotiations.· Participate and lead sales handover meetings as required.· Manage allocated leads and opportunities within the Company CRM system.· Maintain Customer accounts within the CRM system, ensuring customer contact information is kept up to date.· Assist the business with feedback and improvements to our product offerings in line with customer requirements.· Input into the Company’s Asian sales channel strategy and manage the day-to-day relationships with existing channel partners.· Represent Silverstream Technologies in a professional and positive manner at all times.Skills, Qualifications, Experience &ampamp acteristics:· Experience in sales and proposal development activity related to equipment sales within the marine sector in China· Extensive experience working with Asian shipowners, shipyards and design institutions· Good technical knowledge of marine equipment and systems and their application· Good understanding of commercial terms and conditions· Able to provide technical and commercial presentations both internally and to potential customers· Experience with sales processes and CRM systems· Be computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office· Self-starter and able to work remotely· Can work effectively within a team and independently· Have a strong customer focus, be personable and presentable and be able to work effectively with internal and external customers· Have strong communication skills in English and Mandarin are essential· Have excellent organisational skillsDesired Behaviours:· Decisiveness and action orientation· Effective time and task management· Planning and target setting· Developing self and others· Communication· Situational and cultural sensitivity· Business and Customer focusPersonal experience:· Degree in a relevant engineering subject· Experience working in marine equipment sales with shipyards and shipowners· Strong customer presentation skills· Ability to develop creative solutions for marine equipment sales· Experience working and communicating with marine industry customers and stakeholders· Excellent written and verbal communications· Demonstrable team player
